The Dominar 400 was launched two years back, with the bike being Bajaj’s flagship model. The company had high expectations for the bike and had set a target of 10,000 units to be sold per month, sadly for the manufacturer, the bike did not reach the target of its stipulated sales figures.

With this, Bajaj is going to launch the new 2019 version of the Dominar 400 with significant changes to the bike to revitalise the bike’s position in the market. The bike now features new upside-down USD forks to improve the suspension as well as increase its appeal. The Chakan-based manufacturer has also fitted dual exhausts at the rear of the bike, which provide a better sound note and the engine is tweaked to comply with the BS6 norms.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 has the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled engine but the power figure is likely to be slightly bumped up. As the video shows, the 2019 Dominar has tweaked side-view mirrors and two instrument console screens, with the one featured on the tank now displaying gear indicator too. In the video, the bike is pushed to the red line in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears and the top speed results in each gear are noted.

The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 is quicker than its previous sibling by an average speed of 7-9 km/hr in each gear. This shows that the new motor fitted in the bike has a better acceleration than the outgoing model and is likely to have a higher top speed too. The new Dominar isn’t launched yet, so we’ll get to know all its official figures once it is launched.
