2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 Spied Testing On Rough Terrain

It gets a bigger 19-inch front rim to aid off-roading

Ducati’s new Multistrada V4 which is currently under development has been spied while the motorcycle was put through its paces.

The new machine was being tested off-road at a facility near the Ducati factory and by the looks of it, it seems production-ready.

Likely to be the most adventurous model yet, the newest Multistrada will be powered by a V4, as its name suggests. However, it is reportedly a new unit, meaning, it is being built from the ground-up to deliver the sort of performance an adventure tourer needs.

Apart from the new engine, the bike does come with a double-sided swingarm instead of a single-sided unit seen on old the Multistrada model this bike would potentially replace.

Since the Multistrada 950 has been using that setup for four years now, Ducati might have deemed it better that their flagship adventure tourer also gets the same setup.

Another notable change is the use of a bigger front wheel, possibly a 19-inch rim, again, used on the 950, while other expected changes include a whole host of latest electronics package, including the much talked about radar guided cruise control.

This is now a real possibility since the cornering lights have moved from what can be termed the “face” of the bike and down into the bodywork, leaving the much needed space for the radar unit between the lights. Other than that, the bike will come with a steel trellis frame and a much larger full-colour TFT display.

Expected to be officially revealed to the motoring world by October-end, the Ducati Multistrada V4 might cost from $25,000 (Rs. 18.38 lakhs) when it first gets launched overseas.
