Yamaha Slashes FZ 25 & FZS 25 Prices By A Generous Margin

No changes have been made to the bike other than to its sticker price

Yamaha has revised the asking price of its FZ 25 and FZS 25 bikes for 2021 and both models have seen their retail cost cut by a huge margin.

Now, the FZ 25 is priced at Rs. 1,34,800/- (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the FZS 25 costs Rs. 1,39,300/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).

When Yamaha launched the BS6-compliant versions of both bikes in July last year, their showroom cost was over Rs. 1.50 lakhs.

To be precise, the BS6 FZ 25 costed Rs. 1.52 lakhs and the FZS 25 was retailed for Rs. 1.57 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). You do the math.

Yamaha states that due to the increase in input costs, the price of its FZ 25 series, like other 2-wheelers, had to be raised in the past. However, now the Japanese firm claims to have managed to reduce input costs.

The reduction in the asking price of both the FZ 25 and FZS 25 has been rolled out due to Yamaha wanting to pass on the benefit to its customers.

Despite the price reduction, both bikes continue to retain their standard features and specifications. They are powered by a 249cc motor which is good for 20.8 PS and 20.1 Nm of torque.

In terms of colourways, the FZ 25 is available in Racing Blue and Metallic Black shades, while the FZS 25 comes in Dark Matte Blue, Patina Green and White-Vermillion. Thanks to the price reduction, Yamaha might see sales of both models increase.
