2022 Kawasaki Z650 Launched, Priced At Rs. 6.24 Lakhs

Kawasaki has updated the bike’s colour for model year 2022

The asking price of the 2022 Kawasaki Z650 is Rs. 71,000/- less than the Triumph Trident 660

Kawasaki has launched the 2022 Z650 in India and has set the asking price of the middleweight naked at Rs. 6.24 lakhs (ex-showroom).

Available in a sole colour option of Candy Lime Green Type 3 (new for 2022), the motorcycle costs the same as the 2021 model year version which recently received a price hike of Rs. 6000/-.

The new paint scheme has Black as the dominant colour, with Green used on the fuel tank, headlight panels and on the wheels (as stripes). The frame is painted in the same shade too.

However, the motorcycle has not received any styling changes and it continues to look as sharp as ever. It also features LED lighting units, a digital instrument display and smartphone connectivity.

A 649cc parallel twin motor powers the bike and it produces a maximum of 68 PS at 8000 RPM and 64 Nm of torque at 6700 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Choosing between the Trident 660 and the Z650 might be easier now thanks to the price difference

Weighing 191 kgs, the motorcycle comes with a 15-litre fuel tank, and sports 41 mm telescopic fork (125 mm travel) at the front and a monoshock with preload adjustability (130 mm travel).

The 2022 Kawasaki Z650 price also gets one decent braking hardware which comprises twin semi-floating 300 mm discs with dual piston calipers upfront and a 220 mm rear disc with a single piston caliper.

It rivals motorcycles such as the Triumph Trident 660 (Rs. 6.95 lakhs) and the Honda CB650R (Rs. 8.67 lakhs) which cost more, while the CFMoto 650 NK costs way less at Rs. 4.29 lakhs (ex-showroom).
