Is Mahindra Set To Give Current Gen Scorpio A Facelift For MY22?

The changes would be rather mild by the look of things

The recently spied mule makes it clear that the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio will get a facelift

Mahindra has been spied road-testing the 2022 Scorpio facelift even as it is readying the new generation Scorpio for market launch next year.

Spotted by MotorBeamer Yuvraj Nimase this facelifted Scorpio could very well coexist with the upcoming new generation model of the very popular SUV.

The recently spied development mule has had its front fenders, grille and bumper covered along with the lower portion of its doors. While the rear profile of this particular car is not available, the back bumper is probably camouflaged as well.

It seems to be equipped with a new radiator grille, while the bumpers are refreshed as well. That aside, the SUV does not sport any other noticeable changes.

The Scorpio is a very successful brand for Mahindra

On the inside, the model might gain a few more features, but will still be sparsely equipped when compared with new generation cars that Mahindra retails in the market.

Powering the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio facelift spied recently will be a 2.2-litre mHawk 4-cylinder diesel engine that comes in 2 states of tune – 120 BHP and 280 Nm; and 140 BHP and 319 Nm. The car is offered with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed manual gearbox based on the variant chosen.

It would be rather interesting to see how the new generation Scorpio and the facelifted current generation Scorpio are priced, since the current model costs between Rs. 12.77 lakhs and Rs. 17.62 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
