2022 Mahindra Scorpio Interior Spied

The quality of materials used inside the car should be better as well

Interior images of a development mule of the 2022 model year Mahindra Scorpio have surfaced online yet again.

This time however, disregarding the camouflage, the SUV’s interior seems to be rather complete, or at the least, nearing completion.

Sporting a similar steering wheel as the upcoming Mahindra XUV700, the SUV, with respect to the dashboard styling, has taken a big step forward.

Although seemingly simple, the dash houses a touchscreen for the infotainment system, below which sit the controls for the air-con, vertically positioned air vents and a semi-digital instrument cluster.

It is not a finished product, but, one can clearly see that the new generation Scorpio will come with a premium interior with lots of chrome or metal-finish trim on the switchgear. This particular test mule also had a sunroof as well.

To be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options, the latter is said to be a 2.0-litre motor putting out 158 BHP, the Scorpio will come with the choice of both manual and automatic gearboxes. It is the latter that was seen on the recently spied test mule.

Like the 2022 Mahindra Scorpio interior, the SUV’s exterior also looks nearly done. The spotted model has a new radiator grille, a bonnet with bulges, plastic cladding on the doors, side steps and alloy wheels.

Expect Mahindra to launch the new Scorpio within the first half of the year with an increase in the asking price over the current-generation model.

Mahindra’s recent products have done well on safety and the new Scorpio should be no different
The car’s cabin is expected to be kitted out with several of the latest features
Both petrol and diesel engine variants of the SUV will be put on sale
