Going Forward, Top Auto Variants Of Skoda Kushaq To Only Feature 6 Airbags

Skoda-Kushaq-1
The Kushaq has done well since launch for the carmaker

From 2022, Skoda will only sell the Kushaq Style AT model with 6 airbags

It looks like Skoda Auto India will only offer the Style AT grade of the 2022 Kushaq with 6 airbags from now on, thereby dropping the dual front airbag option for the top-spec variant altogether.

Until November 2021, the Kushaq Style AT came equipped with dual front airbags only. However, responding to market demand, the Czech brand began selling the car’s top-spec automatic variants with 6 airbags for an addition cost.

Now, it turns out, Skoda has stopped manufacturing the twin airbag version of the premium compact SUV’s Style AT grade. With no dual airbag option, customers looking to buy the top-spec automatic variant of the Kushaq will have to fork out Rs. 40,000/- more by default.

The deletion of the twin airbag Style variants was not unexpected

The 2022 Kushaq Style 1.0-litre TSI AT with 6 airbags costs Rs. 16.49 lakhs, while the same variant with the 1.5-litre TSI engine and 7-speed dual clutch transmission is priced at Rs. 18.19 lakhs (prices are ex-showroom).

No other changes have been made to other variants of the compact SUV that has turned the fortunes for the Czech car brand in the market. It will soon be joined by the Slavia C-segment sedan.
