Toyota Caught Road-Testing Next-Gen Innova Crysta In India [Video]

The 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta that was spotted was completely camouflaged

A day after we brought you the first images of the 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta that was spotted on-road testing in Bengaluru, we bring you the footage of the upcoming premium MPV being trialled on Indian roads.

This time around, the front end of the vehicle can be seen and it gets a pair of sleek headlamps, a broad nose, chrome embellishment on the radiator grille, DRLs located below (should double up as indicators), and a prominent air dam.

Toyota’s Innova has a huge customer base in India

The premium MPV has a muscular bonnet, a raked front windscreen, large windows and new alloy wheels. If one looks at it carefully, the new Innova Crysta has the same window outline and similar bodywork to the new Avanza sold overseas.

Profound similarities between the recently spotted 2023 Toyota Innova Crysta development mule’s rear end and Avanza’s rear section are undeniable. The shape of the tailgate, tail lights and the bumper are very alike. But, the rear windscreen is different, so is the roof spoiler.

It should come with a completely revamped interior with more new age features and technology on board

Due to the new generation Innova Crysta looking very much like the Avanza, some might presume that it is based on the Japanese firm’s front-wheel drive DNGA platform. However, owing to a paucity of information in that regard, one cannot say that for sure.

Since the premium MPV is expected to be globally unveiled later this year, one need only wait a few months to get to know that information. But what one can be sure about is that the car will come with electrified powertrains.
