2024 Isuzu D-Max Revealed, India Bound?

2024 Isuzu D-Max gets sharper with new styling updates and features

2024 Isuzu D-Max revealed in the international market. This is the third generation model of the D-Max that launched in 2019 globally and has now been updated with a facelift. In the Indian market we still get the second generation model but hopefully we should be getting the new gen soon.

In terms of styling, the new D-Max looks sharp with a huge grille up front, new headlights with angular design, beefy bumper, rugged cladding and new 18-inch alloy wheels. There is limited scope to stylise the rear profile of a pickup truck but Isuzu has managed to offer a good looking tail light cluster with new detailing and a redesigned tailgate.

The interior gets updated with colour scheme with dual tone treatment. You can opt for an all-black interior or a premium looking brown and black combination which is applied both on the dashboard and the upholstery.

The D-Max comes with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. There are USB-C ports for the front and rear passengers. It also comes with a new key with remote engine start function.

There are no changes in the engine department as it continues to be powered by a 1.9-litre diesel engine that produces 150 PS and 350 Nm torque along with a 3.0-litre diesel engine producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque. Globally the pickup truck is available with both 2WD and 4WD layouts that come with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission options.

Isuzu claims that the new D-Max comes with improved 4×4 system with tweaked mechanicals. It is also available with ADAS tech. All in all it is a more desirable version compared to the generation sold in India and it will give a tough fight to the Toyota Hilux if launched in our country.
