2024 Mercedes G-Class Spotted, Last ICE Update?

It might get mild styling tweaks on the front profile

2024 Mercedes G-Class to get an update before it gets replaced with an EV

2024 Mercedes G-Class spotted testing with camouflage. The German luxury carmaker is preparing to launch a facelift of the G Wagon before it gets replaced by the all-electric version.

This might be the last iteration of the iconic SUV having a petrol engine under the hood. According to speculations, the facelifted G-Class won’t come with a diesel engine option. It will be offered only in petrol variants.

The prototype spotted here gets a 3.0-litre 6-cylinder turbo petrol engine. Mercedes is also expected to introduce the popular G63 AMG version with this update.

In terms of styling, we can expect mild tweaks on the exterior and interior. The front profile is camouflaged heavily which means it will get a new grille design and revised bumper. We can also expect new headlights and tail lights detailing on this update.

The rear might not get many changes but some minor updates like new wheel cover design or tweaked rear bumper. The alloy wheel designs are likely to change and multiple new options are expected to be offered with this update.

The interior has also been spotted covering most of the dashboard and the centre console. We might see some changes here as well. A larger dual screen setup with the latest MBUX interface, new switches and controls on the centre console and mostly an updated steering wheel.

It is expected to be revealed by the end of this year and commence deliveries in 2024. Mercedes-Benz is likely to introduce the facelifted version in India later next year.
