2024 Toyota Fortuner Hybrid Leaked?

The front profile looks heavily revised

Highly anticipated third generation 2024 Toyota Fortuner has reportedly been leaked ahead of its official debut. Speculations suggest that the new Fortuner will draw inspiration from the latest Tacoma pickup truck and will feature a mild-hybrid diesel engine. Although no official confirmation has been made regarding its launch, given the Fortuner’s popularity, it is expected to hit the Indian market sometime next year.

The new Fortuner will showcase a new design language influenced by the recently unveiled Tacoma pickup truck. The leaked image reveals a completely new front profile with a larger grille. It comes with a new set of headlights and gets a revised bumper too.

On the side profile you will notice new alloy wheels. However, there are no substantial changes in terms of design. The rear changes are not visible but it might get new tail lights.

The interior too is expected to get a completely new look with a redesigned dashboard offering more features. We hope this time around Toyota offers a sunroof with the Fortuner to woo the Indian audience.

One significant addition to the new Toyota Fortuner is a mild-hybrid system. The existing 2.8-litre GD series four-cylinder diesel engine could be equipped with this more fuel-efficient powertrain. This mild-hybrid system is expected to get a 48V battery and a small electric motor generator, enhancing the overall efficiency of the SUV.

The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is expected to come with improved off-roading capabilities with new tech. What are your thoughts on this design?
