Triumph Trident 660 Updated, Gets Bidirectional Quickshifter & Cruise Control As Standard

Triumph has updated the Trident 660. The bike gets several upgrades such as new suspension, bidirectional quickshifter and cruise control as standard. Triumph has priced the new Trident 660 at Rs. 8.49 Lakh (ex-showroom).

Features

In terms of features, the Trident 660 gets a bidirectional quickshifter, Bluetooth connectivity and cruise control. Additionally, the bike also gets a new Sport mode with the existing Road and Rain modes. These features were previously optional extras but now come standard on the Trident 660.

Upgraded Suspension

The Trident 660 features new Showa Big Piston front forks, delivering better handling and stability.

Engine

The Triumph Trident 660 is powered by the same 660cc 3-cylinder engine. It produces 81 HP at 10,250 RPM and 64 NM of torque at 6250 RPM. The engine pairs with a 6-speed gearbox as well as a slip and assist clutch.

Chassis & Braking

The Trident 660 sports a tubular steel perimeter frame with 17-inch cast aluminium alloy rims. The braking is managed by 310mm twin discs in the front and a 255mm disc in the rear with Nissin callipers. The bike rides on Michelin Road 5 tyres.

Competition

In terms of competition, the Trident 660 competes with the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CBR650R.
