5 Worst Bike Taglines In India

Sometimes we really get impressed by marketing tactics used by manufacturers while sometimes we also get confused trying to figure out what they actually mean. Here is a list of the 5 worst bike taglines in India.

5) Hero Xtreme, Live Off The Edge – The Xtreme is just a regular bike with a 150cc engine but the marketing agency who came up with this tagline wants us to believe that it is an off-road bike, at least that’s what the tagline suggests. The tagline maker wants buyers of the Xtreme to live off the edge. Okay, but edge of what? Edge of the bike’s seat, edge of the sofa at your home or edge of a cliff? Maybe edge of a cliff because anyone would want to jump off a cliff after reading this tagline.

4) Honda Activa-i, Ready To Fly – So you have just bought a new Honda Activa-i for Rs. 50,000/- but it’s not so easy to ride this scooter. You will need to appear for a pilot training course and get yourself a pilot’s license because Honda has incorporated some new technology in the Activa-i which gives the scooter the ability to fly. Such a boon on our roads. Along with the pilot’s license don’t forget your helmet and your regular two-wheeler license from the local RTO. BTW, we are not being sarcastic at all.

3) Yamaha YBR 125, Ab Aur Paane Ka Karo Irada – Now this tagline has really got us thinking. Yamaha wants us to wish for more but they haven’t specified what. So now we have an irada that the person who came up with this tagline explains us the meaning of what it means.

2) TVS Phoenix – Ab life ka gear badlo – Now this is really an eye-opener. We need to change the gears of our lives and run away from such taglines which have no real meaning. If the marketing person at TVS wants us to sit and change the gears of our lives then who will ride the Phoenix and change its gears? Maybe it has an auto-ride feature (similar to the Jive) that we don’t know about.

1) Honda Dream Neo, Apni Film Ka Superstar – So now we are really impressed by Honda. First they created a scooter that can fly and now they have a commuter bike which can also double up as an actor. This has come at the right time because we know how ‘real’ actors are charging exorbitant monies to act in films, so casting the Dream Neo in a film in a lead role can actually help the producers save lots of cash! I can already imagine top actors considering alternate careers.
