Hyundai is the second highest passenger car seller in India today and the automaker has vehicles spread across a variety of segments. The Korean giant is looking to launch a lot more cars in the coming years and we’ve compiled a list of the cars that Hyundai is going to launch in India by 2021.

The Grand i10 faceift will get cosmetic tweaks to the exteriors and interiors

The Hyundai Grand i10 and Xcent siblings have been performing really well in their respective segments and are fetching good numbers for the company. However, the cars have been around for a while and hence Hyundai will be launching updated versions of these two cars in 2017 itself. We can expect some cosmetic changes while the mechanicals will remain the same. The Grand i10 facelift will be launched as soon as next month.

The Creta Hybrid will mostly be introduced with the diesel engines

The Hyundai Creta has been performing really well in the compact SUV segment and it is available in petrol and diesel engine options. Hyundai is now looking to launch a hybrid version of the Creta for better fuel efficiency. While details and specifications are still unknown, we can expect it to be a mild hybrid tech offered with the diesel engines. The Creta Hybrid will be launched in 2018.

The next generation Hyundai Verna will be leagues ahead of the current model

The current generation of the Hyundai Verna has been selling in the market since ages now and sales have been dwindling off late. Hyundai has been readying the next generation Verna (HCi) and it is expected to be launched in India by mid-2017. Expect the new Verna to come with better exteriors, luxurious interiors and a better driving experience.

Hyundai’s sub 4-metre SUV will compete with the EcoSport, Vitara Brezza, Nexon, etc.

Hyundai had showcased the Carlino concept at the 2016 Auto Expo and the company is going to introduce a sub 4-metre SUV in the Indian market. The vehicle is codenamed Qxi and it will hit the market only by 2019. Hyundai will price it aggressively and it will compete with the Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra TUV300 and the likes.

The new Santro will feature completely new looks

The Santro brand name has been very popular in India and Hyundai is looking to bring the Santro back in an all-new avatar in the next few years. It might be launched by 2020 or even a bit earlier and it will feature a completely new design. The new Santro is codenamed AH and it will be a strong contender in the small car market.

The next generation i20 is some time away since the current model was launched recently

The Hyundai Elite i20 was launched in India just a couple of years back so the next generation model won’t be launched before 2021. The current i20 is selling well in the premium hatchback segment since it comes loaded with a ton of features along with good looks and a high quality interior.
