Aston Martin DB11 Previewed For Customers In India

The Aston Martin DB11 has made its first appearance in India, with potential customers getting a preview of the grand tourer in Delhi.

The DB11 was on shown at the Emporio shopping mall in New Delhi

Aston Martin recently showcased the DB11 to potential customers in New Delhi, ahead of the car’s official press launch. During the two-day event, the British automaker announced that the DB11 would be priced at around Rs. 4.25 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi), which puts it in the category of the likes of the Lamborghini Aventador and the Ferrari F12. The model seen in the images is a left-hand drive (LHD) variant and had Arabic lettering on ORVMs, suggesting it’s probably a show model for the Middle Eastern market.

The DB11 is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbocharged unit produced in-house by Aston at its designated engine facility in Cologne, Germany. The gasoline motor generates 600 HP of power and 700 Nm of torque, allowing it sprint from 0-100 km/hr in 3.9 seconds before topping out at 320 km/hr. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF transmission.

The production of the DB11 officially commenced last month and Aston Martin’s CEO, Andy Palmer, has claimed that over 3,000 customers have already booked the vehicle. It’s the first car that Aston has rolled out as part of its ‘Second Century Plan’, named so because the company celebrates its 103rd anniversary this year. Apart from DB11, Aston will be launching six new cars as part of the project in the coming years, including the Rapide EV, DBX crossover (it will be produced at a new plant in Wales) and the all-elusive AM-RB 001 hypercar that will go up against the Holy Trinity.
