Aston Martin DBX Revealed, India Bound

Aston Martin has revealed the DBX, which is their first SUV in the lineup.

Aston Martin’s first SUV has the signature styling of the brand

The SUV body style is not getting popular only in the mass market segment but it is churning out huge volumes for the luxury and premium luxury carmakers as well. Aston Martin has stepped into this segment with their first SUV Aston Martin DBX.

After a lot of teasers and spy shots we can finally see the styling of the luxury performance crossover. The front profile is typical Aston with a dominating grille. The headlights look familiar thanks to the family look but the hood is muscular getting those cuts and creases.

The side profile looks sporty and here is where the unique crossover silhouette can be seen from Aston Martin for the first time. It has a sloping roofline that finishes with a fin-like tail. The alloy wheels look sporty and the side profile is a beautiful angle to look at.

The tail lights are also interconnected with a swooping line which we have seen in other siblings as well. The DBX gets a huge black diffuser integrating dual exhaust at the rear. You can also notice the fat chunky rubber.

The opulent interior of the Aston Martin DBX looks quite attractive. It’s leather everywhere with a beautiful tan upholstery. The dashboard has a unique layered design having well integrated 10.5-inch touchscreen. It comes with a 12.3-inch all-digital instrument cluster.

Powering the Aston Martin DBX is a twin-turbo 4.0-litre AMG V8 engine that produces 542 HP and 700 Nm of torque. This engine is also shared with the Vantage and DB11. It is paired to a 9-speed automatic transmission working with all-wheel drive.

The DBX comes with active central differential and a rear limited-slip differential. 0-100 km/hr timing is claimed to be 4.5 seconds with a top speed of 291 km/hr.

Aston Martin has launched the DBX in US, priced at $1,89,900 (Rs. 1.36 crores). It is expected to launch in India in 2020. The DBX will compete with the likes of Lamborghini Huracan, Bentley Bentayga, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Maserati Levante, Porsche Cayenne, etc.
