Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS Unveiled At Dealer Meet In Turkey

The all-new Pulsar 150 NS was unveiled completely at a dealer meet in Turkey but will be launched in India first in the coming months, followed by exports to other markets.

The Pulsar 150 NS could get a 160cc 4-valve, single-cylinder engine

Days after the 2015 Pulsar 200 SS made itself visible on the internet leaving very little to imagination, the new Pulsar 150 NS has also been caught undisguised at a dealer meet in Turkey. Seen in the image above, the Pulsar 150 NS is accompanied with the upcoming 200 SS scheduled for launch in the coming weeks as well as the new Discover 150F that is already on sale in the country. While the Pulsar 200 SS takes inspiration from the bigger 400 SS in terms of styling, the naked 150 NS looks up to the 200 NS in the same way. The bike replicates the 200 NS in almost every way including the new dual-tone paint scheme.

Compared to the outgoing Pulsar 150, the new Bajaj Pulsar 150 NS will be equipped with a slimmer rear tyre, split seats, redesigned grab rails and a conventional mudguard. The new model will also get a single disc at the front, while the rear too is expected to boast a disc brake. The instrument console also comes from the 200 NS. In terms of powertrain, speculations suggest that the 150 NS will be powered by a new 150cc engine 4-valve single cylinder engine that has been confirmed to get DTSi technology. The engine is expected to produce around 17 PS of power (current Pulsar 150 produces 15.06 PS).

Bajaj is expected to launch new Pulsars and the Discover 150 by early 2015 in Turkey. In the Indian context, the Pulsar 200 SS is expected to arrive first in the country with production of the model already commenced and will be competing against the Hero Karizma ZMR, Honda CBR150R and the Yamaha R15 2.0. The 200 SS is also expected to get fuel injection for improved fuel efficiency and throttle response. The 150 NS on the other hand will compete against the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ FI 2.0 and Honda’s upcoming 160cc motorcycle when it goes on sale and is expected to move up in terms of pricing as well. Make sure to check out the Pulsar 200 SS in action doing stunts at the Turkey dealer meet in the video below.
