BMW G310 GS Based TVS Apache SCR Concept Rendered

The BMW G310R is a versatile platform which is supposed to spawn a number of new products.

The TVS Apache SCR Concept looks rough and tough

The upcoming BMW G310R is revered as the new wonder kid on the block which is opening up new avenues for the Germans as well as their Indian partners TVS. The bike has already given birth to new ideas such as the BMW G310 GS adventure tourer and the brother-from-another-mother TVS Akula. This has inspired freelance designers and enthusiasts to come-up with their own crafty ideas about the platform, such as the newly published TVS Apache SCR Concept scrambler bike.

The TVS Apache SCR concept is a new take on the G310R and has been styled in a way to pass it off as a street attacking scrambler motorbike. The bike will be equipped with retro-style wire-spoke wheels and underbody plastic cladding. It also gets the baby GS inspired long-travel suspension as well as a re-shaped fuel tank for an upright stance. The retro theme is continued on the front with a single round headlamp and similarly circular and chrome-ringed instrumentation. The bike is attached to the same engine from the G310R family, along with knobby treaded tyres and ABS.

The G310R is powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine churns out 34 BHP and has a peak torque of 28 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. BMW claims a top speed of 145 km/hr and fuel efficiency of 36 km/l. The bike will be manufactured at the Hosur facility of TVS and is expected to be launched in India when the company gets all the infrastructure in place.
