The asking price of the BMW X5 SportX Plus rises to Rs. 79.50 lakhs for the xDrive30d variant
BMW has launched the X5 SportX Plus in India with a starting price of Rs. 77.90 lakhs for the xDrive40i variant, today. Another variant of the same model, the xDrive30d, has also been introduced and it costs Rs. 1.60 lakhs more.
This new variant comes with full-LED lighting units, satin-finish aluminium roof rails, and a premium interior (with fine-wood trim) that focuses on driving comfort with a sporty ambience.
The luxury SUV comes with a sports leather steering wheel, electrical seat adjustment with memory function, 4-zone automatic climate control, electroplated controls, electrically adjustable roller sunblinds, ambient lighting, and a panoramic glass roof too.
On the technology front, paying the BMX X5 SportX Plus price would get one a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen, head-up display, gesture control, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, among others.
A pair of 3-litre, in-line 6-cylinder engine options are available with the luxury SUV. The unit powered by petrol (powering the xDrive40i) puts out 335 BHP and 450 Nm of torque. The xDrive40i does the 0-100 km/hr sprint in 5.5 seconds.
On the other hand, the motor powering the xDrive30d model puts out 261.5 BHP and 620 torques. It helps the diesel model hit 100 km/hr from nought in 6.5 seconds. Both motors come paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Both variants come with paddle shifters, adaptive suspension, auto start-stop, all-wheel-drive, and a whole host of safety features including 6 airbags, extended Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, among others.
