BSA Bantam 350 Unveiled, Features Similar Styling & Suspension Setup As The Jawa 42 FJ
BSA has unveiled the new Bantam 350 in the UK. It is an entry-level bike which is based on the Jawa 42 FJ. The bike looks similar to the Jawa 42 FJ and uses similar components.
Styling
The Bantam 350 features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a circular LED headlamp. In addition to this, there are also bar-end mirrors and a single-piece seat. Not to mention, there is also a single-exit exhaust with twin pipes.
Engine
A 334cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine powers the BSA Bantam 350. The engine produces 30 HP and 30 NM of torque in other models. The engine may pair with a 6-speed gearbox, featuring a slipper clutch.
Suspension
In terms of suspension, there are telescopic forks in the front and a dual shock absorber setup in the rear. Notably, there are rubber gaiters on the front telescopic forks. The Bantam 350 gets dual-tone alloy rims with disc brakes in the front and rear.
It is worth noting that the Bantam 350 borrows its chassis and suspension from the Jawa 42 FJ.
Outlook
The Bantam 350 is unlikely to launch in India as Classic Legends would not want to dilute the BSA brand, which offers the Goldstar 650. The original Bantam was a bike with a two-stroke engine, which was manufactured from 1948 to 1971.
