BYD Price Hike July 2026 India: Atto 3, Seal, Sealion 7 Prices Increase

BYD India has announced a price revision across its entire passenger electric vehicle portfolio, set to come into effect from July 1, 2026. The increase will apply to all models currently on sale and is expected to range between 1 and 2 percent, depending on the variant.

The company attributes the upcoming revision to ongoing foreign exchange volatility. The depreciation of the Indian Rupee against the Chinese Yuan and other major global currencies has increased input costs, prompting the need for a price adjustment.

BYD’s current lineup in India includes the BYD Atto 3, BYD eMAX 7, BYD Seal and the BYD Sealion 7. Following the revision, prices could increase by approximately Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 1 lakh depending on the model.

Customers planning to purchase a BYD EV before the price hike can still avail of current pricing under certain conditions. Bookings made before July 1, 2026, will be eligible for existing prices, provided deliveries are completed by July 31, 2026. Orders placed from July onward will reflect the revised pricing.

BYD currently operates in the premium EV space in India, with prices starting at Rs. 24.99 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the Atto 3 and going up to Rs. 54.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the Sealion 7. Despite the pricing adjustment, the brand indicates continued demand for its products, particularly in the premium electric vehicle segment.

This marks BYD’s second price adjustment in 2026. Earlier in the year, the company revised pricing for select variants of the Sealion 7, while keeping the rest of its portfolio unchanged. The upcoming hike, however, will impact the entire model range.
