Classic Defender V8 gains new Octa-inspired colours, materials & customisation options
Land Rover Classic has expanded its Works Bespoke programme by offering the Classic Defender V8 with a fresh set of exterior and interior options inspired by the modern Defender Octa. Available across the 90 Station Wagon, 110 Station Wagon and 90 Soft Top body styles, the updated Classic Defender V8 now features five new colour choices and additional cabin materials.
The latest exterior paint options – Petra Copper, Faroe Green, Sargasso Blue, Narvik Black and Patagonia White – join the existing grey shades in the palette. These colours can be finished in gloss or satin, with the latter designed to resemble the Matte Protective Film used on the Defender Octa. Each Classic Defender V8 undergoes roughly 300 hours of paint preparation, colour matching and polishing.
Inside, Land Rover Classic has introduced Ultrafabrics PU for the first time, offering it in Khaki Green, Light Cloud and Lunar. Traditional leather choices continue with Burnt Sienna semi-aniline and Ebony. Heated Recaro sport seats are also available as an option, and customers can further personalise areas like the dashboard and steering wheel.
As part of the remastering process, donor vehicles from the 2012–2016 production run are completely stripped and rebuilt at Land Rover Classic’s Coventry facility. The updated models use a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing around 400 HP, paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox. Mechanical upgrades include revised springs, dampers, anti-roll bars and larger brakes with 4-piston calipers.
Customers can also choose optional elements such as a gloss-black grille, carbon-fibre bonnet script and multiple wheel designs in 11 different finishes across 16-inch and 18-inch sizes. Each Classic Defender V8 comes with a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
