Ducati launches lighter, more advanced 2025 Multistrada V2 and V2 S in India
Ducati has launched the 2025 Multistrada V2 and V2 S in India, bringing a host of updates aimed at improving agility, comfort and performance. The new models mark an evolution in the Multistrada lineup, combining lighter construction, refined ergonomics and an upgraded electronics suite designed to enhance everyday ridability and long-distance touring comfort.
At the heart of the new Multistrada V2 range lies Ducati’s latest 890cc V2 engine, a 90° twin-cylinder unit with variable intake valve timing. It produces 115 HP at 10,750 RPM and 92 Nm of torque at 8250 RPM. The engine’s compact design contributes to significant weight reduction – the Multistrada V2 now tips the scales at 199 kg (dry), while the more feature-packed V2 S weighs 202 kg.
Ducati says the new frame, aluminium monocoque construction and redesigned swingarm help the bike achieve better stability and precision, while the ergonomic revisions make it easier to handle, particularly at low speeds or when stationary. The seat height has been adjusted to improve accessibility for a wider range of riders.
The 2025 Multistrada V2 also introduces new styling inspired by the Multistrada V4, featuring sportier proportions, sharper LED headlights with DRLs and a revised silencer design that emphasises Ducati’s signature performance character.
On the electronics front, the Multistrada V2 and V2 S feature a comprehensive package powered by a 6-axis IMU. Riders can choose from five riding modes – Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro and the newly added Wet mode – each tailoring power delivery and safety systems to suit different conditions. Systems such as Ducati Traction Control, Cornering ABS, Wheelie Control and Engine Brake Control come standard.
The V2 S version further enhances the touring experience with semi-active Ducati Skyhook Suspension, a Minimum Preload function for easier ground reach, Cruise Control and a full-colour 5-inch TFT display with an updated interface.
Passenger comfort has also been improved, with revised seating ergonomics, more legroom and multiple seat height options for both rider and pillion. Ducati has also ensured that the new Multistrada V2 models are compliant with India’s E20 fuel standards.
The 2025 Multistrada V2 is available in Ducati Red, while the V2 S is offered in both Ducati Red and Storm Green. Prices start at Rs. 18.88 lakhs for the V2, Rs. 20.99 lakhs for the V2 S (Red), and Rs. 21.29 lakhs for the V2 S (Storm Green) – all ex-showroom, India.
