Its happening folks! Ferrari will reveal its first fully electric supercar in 2025, for there is no escaping fate is there?

In an AGM shareholder meeting held on Thursday, the CEO of the supercar maker, John Elkann revealed that the brand will build an EV.

But, he also claimed that the very first Ferrari electric supercar will be everything the “engineers and designers at Maranello can imagine”.

Having already successfully tried its hand at electrification of its cars in the LaFerrari and SF90 Stradale, Ferrari has decided to go all out this time around.

But, a Ferrari, for many, is not just a culmination of a few hundred parts held together with bolts and glue, but, rather a vehicle that has something more. It signifies passion.

And the bosses at Ferrari know that all too well, which is why Elkann harked back to the brand’s interpretation and adaptation of EV technology in motorsport and in a few road cars, while announcing the move.

Whatever might be the case, it is expected to be a class-leading EV with low weight and exceptional handling, for Ferrari are making it after all. As for the soundtrack, well, let us leave it at that.

While the first Ferrari electric supercar is still a few years away, the brand has announced that it is getting ready to reveal 3 new models over the next few months.

What’s more, Ferrari will return to racing at the Le Mans in 2023 where it won last in 1965 with a 250 LM. Suffice it to say, this time the brand will have a much more complex machine to bring home the victory.

Well, the time of glorious petrol engines is set to come to a close after all
