Fiat Avventura Urban Cross 1

Fiat Urban Cross bookings are currently being accepted across all Fiat dealerships for Rs. 21,000/-. The crossover is likely to be launched later this month.

The Urban Cross will be priced similar to the Avventura

Fiat has opened bookings for its upcoming model Urban Cross, ahead of its launch lined up later this month. Bookings are currently being accepted across all dealerships for a minimum deposit of Rs. 21,000/-. The Fiat Urban Cross was first revealed at this year’s Auto Expo which was held in February. The looks of the Urban Cross are heavily inspired by the Avventura.

The Fiat Urban Cross comes with two engine options – a 1.4-litre T-Jet petrol engine which produces 140 PS of power at 5500 RPM and a peak torque of 210 Nm between 2000 – 4000 RPM, and a 1.3-litre MultiJet turbo diesel engine which creates 93 PS of power and 209 Nm of torque. The Urban Cross is only available with a 5-speed manual gearbox.

The Urban Cross comes with a lot of exterior changes like silver roof rails, new body cladding, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED tail lamps, Follow-Me-Home headlamps but the car now misses out on the rear mounted spare wheel that came on the Avventura. The Urban Cross interior comes with a dual-tone cabin with a touchscreen AVN system, automatic climate control, etc. The vehicle also gets dual front airbags and ABS.

The Urban Cross is the third sibling of the Punto hatchback launched in India, after the Punto Evo and Abarth Punto. Fiat has not announced prices for the Urban Cross but the car is expected to be priced similarly as the Avventura, which costs between Rs. 7.87-10.37 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
