Ford Freestyle Flair Special Edition Spotted, Launch Soon

The car gets subtle aesthetic exterior changes

Ford is set to launch a special edition version of the Freestyle hatchback named the “Flair”, in India and ahead of its launch, the brochure of the model has been leaked, with the images revealing all the changes the model will get.

To be based on the top Titanium+ trim, the Ford Freestyle Flair gets subtle changes both on the outside and inside so as to differentiate it from normal variants, as befits a special edition model.

Exterior changes include new body graphics on the doors and tail gate (where Flair naming can be seen), roof rails and rear-view mirror housing in anodised red colour, a blacked out roof section and skid plates (front and back) finished in red.

Completing the exterior changes will be 15-inch alloy wheels that will come in black. Likewise, the interior of the car sports notable changes as well.

The infotainment display gets a piano black-like surround, dual tone seat upholstery with contrast red stitching and “Flair” variant name embossing and finally, there are red trims on door panels.

All this will differentiate the Ford Freestyle Flair special edition from the regular cars very well, but the changes are not over the top.

No other changes have likely been done to the car and it will remain identical mechanically to the regular variants. Thus, the 1.2-litre petrol engine and 1.5-litre oil burner will continue to power the car.

Since it is based on the Titanium+ model, the Freestyle Flair special edition will get six airbags, touchscreen infotainment system, embedded navigation, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, push-button start, rear-view camera with park assist, to name a few.

Expect the special edition variant to command a premium over the Titanium+ models of the Freestyle which retail at Rs. 7.39 lakhs (petrol) and Rs. 8.49 lakhs (diesel) (all prices ex-showroom).
