Ford Starts EcoSport Pre-launch Campaign With Urban Discoveries

Ford has announced the launch of an innovative new campaign, in the pre-launch period for the highly awaited Ford EcoSport Urban SUV, called the Ford EcoSoprt Urban Discoveries Campaign. This campaign will give potential customers all over the country to personally experience and feel the EcoSport before the actual launch of the car. It will also include a special adventurous contest for 100 participants to discover their city in the Ford EcoSport in the same pre-launch period. The campaign will be marketed on various portals like social networking sites, television, radio, newspapers and mobile phones.

There will be two phases of the EcoSport Campaign. First Ford will arrange special roadshows across the country at major cities – New Delhi (including NCR), Mumbai (including Navi Mumbai), Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Kochi, Ludhiana, Chennai, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Pune and Kolkata. Here Ford will have interactive zones where potential customers can experience the EcoSport, see and feel the car as well as all its features. These zones will be set up in high-footfall malls in each city.

Coming to the contest, the first part will include television personality and radio jockey, Mantra, to invite interested participants to the EcoSport Urban Discoveries Contest through the medium of TV and radio and encourage them to register with their entries on the site. The interested participants will ‘discover’ very interesting, unique or uncommon places in their respective city and upload them with description on Ecosportdiscoveries.co.in, share it with their friends, families and social communities. These discoveries will be judged by a panel of jury, which will shortlist 35 best entries based on votes, quality of content and other criteria.

The 35 participants will add 2 more members of their choice to their team to make 35 individual teams. Each team will be given one EcoSport for a journey to make such Urban Discoveries in their cities. This will be recorded on video and shared through online platforms. The team gathering maximum following for their journey will be declared the winner. The team leader will win a brand new Ford Ecosport, while the other two team members will receive a international holiday package. Ten of the winning team’s lucky followers will win iPads. The award ceremony will be telecast on an entertainment television channel.

Ford has a massive pre-launch marketing campaign and showcase lined up for the Indian customer where they will be able to get a feel of the compact SUV even before its launch. This will definitely give an immense boost to the highly awaited Ford EcoSport in the country.
