Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider & Deluxe Launched

Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider and Softail Deluxe are two new additions to the brand’s Softail range.

Harley-Davidson will celebrate its 115th anniversary this year

To supplement the MY2018 Softail range introduced in October last year, Harley-Davidson has added two more products to its portfolio in India. While one will have to shell out Rs. 12.99 lakhs for the Harley-Davidson Softail Low Rider, Softail Deluxe price has been set at Rs. 17.99 lakhs which makes it sit high up in the entire Softail range price-wise (ex-showroom, India).

Both the motorcycles are classic cruisers by design and come splashed with oodles of chrome treatment across the bodywork. The Low Rider boasts of custom chopper styling with tank graphics which are a throwback to the 1970s. Besides 19-inch front and 16-inch rear Radiate cast wheels, it also features dual tank-mounted speedometer and tachometer gauges and 2-into-2 Shotgun exhaust.

The Softail Deluxe, on the other hand, wears a classic silhouette with white-walled tyres, full-skirted steel fenders and signature pull-back handlebar. Full LED lighting setup, Tombstone tail-lamp and blade-like blinkers provide a retro-modern touch to the package. Sitting on an improved chassis which is lighter by up to 20%, the two models are claimed to be better handlers and come equipped with ABS as standard.

Powering the entire MY2018 Softail range is the new 1745cc Milwaukee-Eight 107 V-Twin engine that produces 148 Nm of peak torque and comes with dual internal counter-balancers to contain vibrations without comprising on the feel of riding. Meanwhile, the American manufacturer also announced revised prices for other models in its Touring and CVO range.
