The upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250 has been spotted undisguised ahead of its expected launch in India, indicating that the motorcycle could be nearing its market debut. The latest sighting, reportedly at a dealership or service facility, suggests Hero MotoCorp may have begun dealer and technician familiarisation ahead of customer deliveries.
The Karizma XMR 250 was first showcased globally at EICMA 2024 before making its India appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The production-spec motorcycle seen in the latest images closely resembles the version displayed at these events, with no noticeable design changes.
The fully-faired motorcycle features an aggressive front-end design with a tall windscreen, twin LED daytime running lights surrounding a centrally mounted projector LED headlamp and integrated aerodynamic winglets. Upside-down front forks finished in gold add to its premium appearance.
Viewed from the side, the Karizma XMR 250 gets a sculpted fuel tank, sharp fairing panels with XMR branding, clip-on handlebars and split seats. The riding position appears to balance sporty ergonomics with everyday usability. At the rear, the motorcycle features a compact LED tail lamp, split grab rails, a side-mounted exhaust and alloy wheels wrapped in road-focused tyres.
Powering the Karizma XMR 250 is Hero MotoCorp’s new 250cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled DOHC engine, which also powers the Xtreme 250R. The engine develops 30 PS of power and 25 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle is built around a trellis frame and is expected to be equipped with upside-down front forks, a preload-adjustable rear monoshock, disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS. Hero could also offer switchable ABS, similar to the Xtreme 250R.
Feature highlights are expected to include full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, lap and drag timers, USB charging and adjustable clip-on handlebars.
The latest sighting comes shortly after Hero MotoCorp announced plans to strengthen its premium motorcycle lineup in the 150-350cc segment during FY2026-27. The Karizma XMR 250 is expected to be among the first new models introduced as part of this strategy.
Once launched, the Karizma XMR 250 is expected to compete with motorcycles such as the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 and KTM RC 200. Pricing is likely to be around Rs. 2 lakhs (ex-showroom), although Hero MotoCorp has not yet announced an official launch date.
