Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has updated its premium motorcycle portfolio for 2026 with the launch of the new CB750 Hornet E-Clutch and XL750 Transalp E-Clutch, while also announcing the return of the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and introducing a new colour option for the Gold Wing GL1800.
The biggest highlight of this update is the introduction of Honda’s E-Clutch technology on the 755cc platform, bringing clutch-less gear shifting convenience to both the CB750 Hornet and XL750 Transalp. However, the addition of the new technology also comes with a noticeable increase in pricing.
Honda CB750 Hornet E-Clutch
The Honda CB750 Hornet now comes equipped with Honda’s E-Clutch system, allowing riders to shift gears without manually operating the clutch lever while still retaining the option of conventional clutch use.
Powering the Hornet is the familiar 755cc parallel-twin engine producing 91.7 bhp and 75 Nm of torque. The motorcycle continues to feature Showa 41 mm SFF-BP USD front forks, dual 296 mm front disc brakes, multiple riding modes and a 5-inch TFT display with Honda RoadSync connectivity.
The CB750 Hornet E-Clutch is available in a Graphite Black colour scheme and is priced at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). This represents a substantial increase of Rs 1.27 lakh over the previous Hornet, which was priced at Rs 9.22 lakh.
Honda XL750 Transalp E-Clutch
Joining the Hornet is the updated XL750 Transalp E-Clutch, which receives the same clutch-less shifting technology for improved comfort during touring and everyday riding.
The adventure tourer continues to use the 755cc parallel-twin engine developing 91.7 bhp and 75 Nm. Other key features include Showa SFF-CA USD suspension, multiple riding modes including Gravel mode, a 5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity and Honda’s distinctive dual LED headlamp setup.
The XL750 Transalp E-Clutch is offered in Ross White and Pearl Deep Mud Gray colour options and is priced at Rs 13.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). Compared to the previous asking price of Rs 11.81 lakh, the new model commands a premium of Rs 1.39 lakh.
Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP Returns
Making a comeback to Honda’s Indian premium motorcycle line-up is the flagship CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. The superbike remains mechanically unchanged and continues to be powered by a 1000cc inline-four engine producing 214.5 bhp and 113 Nm of torque.
The Fireblade SP continues to feature premium hardware including Öhlins Smart-EC 3.0 electronic suspension, Brembo Stylema R front brake calipers, twin 330 mm front discs, an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system and a full-colour TFT instrument console.
While the motorcycle itself remains unchanged, its pricing has seen a significant revision. The Fireblade SP is now priced at Rs 33.50 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), making it Rs 4.50 lakh more expensive than when it was last offered in India. Honda is expected to bring the flagship superbike in limited numbers.
Honda Gold Wing Gets New Colour
Honda’s iconic long-distance touring motorcycle, the Gold Wing GL1800, also continues unchanged for 2026 but gains a new Gun Metal Black Metallic paint scheme.
The luxury tourer retains its 1,833cc flat-six engine paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), along with premium touring features such as an electronically adjustable windscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a high-end audio system and an airbag.
The Gold Wing is now priced at Rs 44.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram), reflecting a price increase of Rs 1.48 lakh over the outgoing model.
