Honda CBR650F Starts Arriving At Dealerships, Launch Soon

The Honda CBR650F has been spotted at a Honda dealership in Indore, meaning that bookings for the same will commence soon followed by the sports tourer’s launch.

Bookings are expected to commence soon as the launch is very near

The Honda CBR650F is one of Honda’s most anticipated performance motorcycle ever, in the country. The motorcycle has already started rolling off the company’s assembly line and is due to launch in the country next month. Promotional activities of the bike have also commenced as it was recently spotted doing rounds of the Buddh International Circuit (without any stickers) for an ad shoot. This time around, the motorcycle was spotted at a Honda dealership in Indore, signifying that its launch is just dead ahead.

With the Honda CBR650F starting to arrive at the company’s showrooms, it means that bookings for the same are to begin very soon, closely followed by a launch in India. The sports touring bike is Honda’s first hand at assembling a performance motorcycle via the CKD route in our country. Only 5 percent of the bike’s parts will be locally sourced initially but the Japanese giant has promised that this will increase with time. But does the Indian market, which is one of Honda’s biggest in the world really deserve the words “increase with time”?

Anyhow, expected to be priced at a staggering Rs. 8 lakhs (ex-showroom), the very capable motorcycle will be powered by a 649cc in-line, four-cylinder engine which is tuned to generate 86 HP and 63 Nm of peak torque. This engine will come paired to a 6-speed gearbox and ABS will be offered as standard. The bike can hit the 100 km/hr mark from standstill in under 4 seconds and can reach a top speed of 225 km/hr. Though it will compete with the likes of the Benelli TNT600 GT and the Kawasaki Ninja 650, its exorbitant pricing directly lines it up against the more powerful Kawasaki Z800.

A very capable motorcycle, its pricing might play spoilsport in India
