Honda Launches Dream CD 110, Priced At Rs. 41,100/-

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Dream CD 110 priced at Rs. 41,100/- (ex-showroom, Delhi) making it the Japanese automaker’s most affordable motorcycle in the country. The bike has been developed for customers keeping in mind their practical and commuting needs. The Dream CD 110 could most likely be the last model from the Dream series and has been priced Rs. 5000/- cheaper than the Dream Neo and Rs. 7000/- cheaper than the Dream Yuga motorcycles.

The Honda Dream CD 110 motorcycle comes with an extended wheelbase of 1258 mm and a high ground clearance of 179 mm, while the long seat also ensures comfortable rides for two. In terms of styling, the Dream CD 110 resembles the other bikes from the Dream series; especially the Dream Neo. However, the Dream CD 110 gets new body graphics, maintenance free battery, viscous air filter and tubeless tyres with alloy wheels done up in silver.

Powering the Honda Dream CD 110 is a 110cc motor that produces 8.3 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 8.63 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. Honda has also incorporated HET (Honda Eco Technology) seen on its other two-wheelers into the Dream CD 110 for improved fuel efficiency, enabling the motorcycle to return a claimed mileage of 74 km/l (based on Honda’s internal test ride mode). The motorcycle is offered in a single variant only and comes with kick-start and drum brakes, while the front disc brake has been given a miss.

Competing against the Hero HF Deluxe and TVS Star City in the segment, the Honda Dream CD 110 will be on sale across the country by August 2014 post the dispatches that will start from mid-July onwards. The Dream CD 110 is available in three dual-tone colours which include black with red, black with grey stripe and black with blue stripe. Along with the launch of the Dream CD 110 in the country, Honda has also commenced the ‘Honda is Honda’ corporate campaign across the country. The company also says it has entered a new era in India and has unleashed Wave 2.0 of strategic expansion.
