The Honda Livo 110cc motorcycle is a more stylish alternative to the Dream series

Continuing its attempt to sell motorcycles in volumes, Honda has launched another entry-level commuter, this time not from the Dream series. The Honda Livo 110cc has been launched in India, priced from Rs. 52,989/-. The motorcycle replaces the CB Twister (the company confirmed the stop of production) in Honda’s lineup and is offered in two variants with electric start being standard. This is Honda’s ninth launch in the country, the company promised it will be launching a total of 15 products but most of them are mere sticker jobs and graphic changes.

The Honda Livo is powered by a 110cc, single-cylinder, 2-valve, 4-stroke engine which generates 8.25 BHP of power at 7500 RPM and 8.63 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The 109.19cc air-cooled powerplant gets HET and the company claims a mileage of 74 km/l on Honda mode (real world mileage will naturally be much lesser). The disc variant of the bike weighs 111 kgs and the top speed is rated at 86 km/hr. The Honda Livo comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox and runs on 80/100/18 tubeless tyres (both front and rear). Braking performance is taken care by 130 mm drums front and rear while the disc brake variant gets a 240 mm front disc.

The Honda Livo is underpinned by a diamond frame and uses telescopic forks up front and 5-step spring loaded hydraulic twin shocks at the rear. It measures 2020 mm in length, 746 mm in width and 1099 mm in height with a wheelbase of 1285 mm. The ground clearance is 180 mm and the fuel tank capacity is 8.5-litres. Honda is offering the Livo in 4 colours – blue, brown, white and black. The motorcycle takes a lot of design cues from the CB Unicorn 160 and looks quite similar to it. It uses a maintenance-free battery and viscous air-filter. Honda calls the design of the meter on the Livo as “out of the box”.
