Honda Rebel 500 Launched, Deliveries Commencing From June 2025

Honda has launched the Rebel 500 in India. The cruiser bike will be available in the brand’s premium dealership network, Honda BigWing, across select Indian cities. The 500cc bike will be available in Mumbai, Gurugram, and Bengaluru, and Honda will commence deliveries from June 2025.

Styling

Honda has given the Rebel 500 cruiser design cues from the retro cruisers, blending them with contemporary elements, resulting in a modern classic aesthetic. The Rebel 500 has a high-mounted fuel tank, a low seat and a narrow tail section.

You can get the Rebel 500 in a single shade of Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic. The cruiser bike gets modern touches like a round headlight, housing all-LED lighting. The rear section also accentuates the fat-tyre ‘bobber’ style.

Engine

A 471cc liquid-cooled parallel twin engine powers the Honda Rebel 500. It produces 45.5 HP and 43.3 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Braking & Suspension

Honda has fitted telescopic forks at the front and Showa dual shock absorbers at the rear in the Rebel 500. The bike is equipped with 296mm front discs and 240mm rear disc setups for braking. Dunlop tires, measuring 130/90 in the front and 150/80 in the rear, will fit the Rebel 500. An inverted LCD display which shows essential information. The Rebel 500 also features dual-channel ABS, providing safety to the riders.

Outlook

The Honda Rebel 500 seems to be a worthy bike in the cruiser segment. The Rebel 500 is , priced at Rs. 5.12 Lakh (ex-showroom). This makes it compete with the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 and the Kawasaki Eliminator.
