Honda Scoopy 2025 Design Patented, Will Help To Diversify Honda’s Scooter Lineup
Honda patented the design for the Scoopy. The Scoopy is a scooter which was first spotted testing in India back in 2017, and a refreshed test mule was spotted in 2021. The brand again refreshed the scooter and will launch the Scoopy to diversify the scooter offerings of the brand.
Styling
The design patent reveals a modern classic design language used for the Scoopy. There is a crystal block LED headlamp with a round taillight. Additional design cues include D-shaped indicators, round rear-view mirrors and much more.
The patent image also reveals the Scoopy having a single seat.
Braking & Suspension
International markets offer the Honda Scoopy with an underbone frame. There are 12-inch wheels in the front and rear. Additionally, telescopic front forks feature with a swing arm setup in the rear.
There are drum brakes with a combi brake setup to handle stopping duties.
Expected Features
The Honda Scoopy will feature an LCD instrument cluster, showing call/message alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, clock and much more. In the international market, the Scoopy gets Honda’s Smart Key System, anti-theft alarm and security system.
Engine
International markets power the Honda Scoopy with a 109.5cc eSP SOHC air-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 9 HP and 9.2 NM of torque, mated to a CVT gearbox.
We expect Honda to launch the Scoopy with this engine in India as well.
Outlook
The launch of the Honda Scoopy in India will help the brand diversify its scooter portfolio in the country. It will also help HMSI become the top 2-wheeler seller in the country.
