Honda To Unveil New EV Bike On September 2, Will Be Based On The EV Fun Concept
Honda will unveil its first large-capacity electric motorcycle on September 2. A teaser video camouflages the bike but shows it in motion. The design hints at similarities with the previously revealed EV Fun concept.
Honda EV Fun Concept
The EV Fun was made with the goal of achieving the performance of a 500cc internal combustion motorcycle. Honda hinted that the bike produces 50 HP with significantly higher torque. This positions the bike as a strong performer in the mid-capacity EV segment.
Features
Noticeable features are a large TFT screen, wide DRL, and bar-end mirrors on clip-on handlebars. The seating triangle appears slightly sporty and aggressive. It features CCS2 fast charging, a system typically seen on electric cars.
India Launch Unlikely
Honda has had a conservative approach to its e-scooters until now. This electric bike marks a bold step into performance EVs. However, it’s unlikely to launch in India soon due to pricing and market readiness.
