Honda WN7 Electric Motorcycle Unveiled, Brand’s First Sports Electric 2-Wheeler Offering
Honda has unveiled its first sports electric motorcycle, the WN7. The Japanese automaker plans to launch the bike in a few months. This marks a major milestone for the Japanese brand in the electric two-wheeler space.
The name WN7 carries significance, with ‘W’ derived from its concept, ‘N’ representing naked styling, and ‘7’ showing its power class. Honda states that the WN7 delivers a range of 130km on a single charge. You can complete a 20% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.
Battery Information
An 18kW liquid-cooled motor powers the motorcycle, offering performance similar to a 600cc petrol-powered motorcycle. At 217kg, the WN7 is relatively heavy for its class. Honda also plans to produce an A1 licence-compatible version for European riders.
Features
The WN7 features a five-inch full-colour TFT screen with Honda’s RoadSync smartphone connectivity. Full-LED lighting enhances visibility, and a large headlamp adds a bold design element. These features make the motorcycle both modern and practical.
Pricing
The WN7 will first go on sale in the UK, priced at GBP 12,999 (around Rs. 15.5 lakh). Other European markets will follow the UK launch soon after. However, Honda does not have immediate plans to introduce the bike in India.
