Hyundai Creta N Line Officially Revealed

The chequered flag grille looks cool

Hyundai Creta N Line unveiled, India launch can be expected this year, gets sporty styling

After a teaser campaign, Hyundai Creta N Line has been officially unveiled. It will go on sale in the Brazilian market first followed other countries. In India, we can expect the SUV’s launch by this year itself as Hyundai is planning a premium car onslaught.

For starters, the N Line is more of a cosmetic update to the Creta to render a sporty appeal like Hyundai’s many other N Line models sold across the globe. Also it’s not based on the facelifted Creta sold in the Indonesian markets but on the version sold here.

At the front, its features a much bigger grille than the existing Creta. Its design looks like a chequered flag seen on the next generation Tucson. There’s a new body-coloured bonnet lip that intersects the grille to give an air-intake like setup. The bumper has been redesigned with a lot of cuts and creases.

The inverted trapezoid shaped bottom grille is not only larger than the existing Creta but also gets body-coloured surrounds against the brushed silver finish in the existing model. The skid plates are also finished in body colour to let the detailing do the job.

At the sides, though not much has been changed, there are new pale coloured recesses on the matte black side claddings rendering a sporty look. There are no roof rails. The overlapping dual-tone spoke alloy wheels bring in a fresh appeal. They get a nice textured finish.

At the rear, there are subtle revisions to the bumper and the tail lights. The split tail lights have a new projection on the tail gate while the bumper gets a split design with quilted grille like design for a racy stance. There’s a prominent shark-fin antenna and a dual-exhaust tip.

The tailgate mounted stop lamp has been shifted to the roof while the tailgate black line has been removed altogether for a clean look at the centre with prominent Hyundai logo. On the inside SUV gets N Line upholstery with red stitching, and aluminum paddles.

While the launch of the sporty car is still some time away, customers can now go ahead with the recently launched Creta Knight Edition. The car has some sporty bits like a new glossy black grille with red inserts, glossy black skid plates at the front and the rear, C-pillar garnish, side sill garnish, roof rails, and a shark fin antenna.

Under the hood, the Creta N Line features the 1-litre turbo petrol engine from the Verna and i20 that exerts 120 HP, and the 2-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor from the Alcazar.

Most of the chrome and brushed silver inserts are body coloured

When launched the Hyundai Creta N Line will compete against the likes of the Kia Seltos GT Line, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, and the likes. The next N Line model for India would be the upcoming Venue N Line due for launch this month.
