Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Spotted, Launch In 2018

The 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift was spotted for the first time with camouflage.

The 2018 Elite i20 will get a new headlamp design, redesigned bumpers

Hyundai has started its work on the 2018 Elite i20 facelift, and the car has been spotted recently for the first time, wearing heavy camouflage. The facelifted version of the premium hatchback is going to be launched only next year.

In spite of the camouflage, the design changes on the car were evident. The next generation Elite i20 will get Hyundai’s signature hexagonal front grille with chrome slats similar to the one on the Xcent. Also, the headlamp design and both the front and rear bumpers have been updated. The higher variants will be offered with 16-inch alloys, and the interiors are expected to receive new upholstery.

Under the hood, the next generation Elite i20 will be offered with the same engine options as on the current model. There’s a 1.4-litre CRDi diesel motor that punches out 89 HP of power and 220 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. Then there are the 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol motors that come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed automatic transmission respectively. A 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine is on the cards too, however nothing is certain as of now.
