Hyundai Venue Facelift Spotted, Gets Major Changes

The grille is inspired by the element on the Alcazar

Development mules of the Hyundai Venue facelift are being frequently spotted in South Korea

The Hyundai Venue facelift has been spotted in South Korea and with each spy shot a new feature of the compact SUV comes to light.

This recently spotted example had a new radiator grille up front which reminds one of the Hyundai Alcazar’s grille. The front bumper has been reworked while the front skid plate should be new too.

Interestingly, the split headlamp setup remains the same and that goes for the compact SUV’s side profile as well. Of course, the recently spotted Hyundai Venue facelift test mule does ride on new alloy wheels.

It is at the back where the car gets a major change. Featuring a more squarish tailgate with a wider opening, the car also has newer, larger and split LED tail lamps.

Hyundai seems set to give the car a European-style rear profile

What’s more, the rear bumper has been reworked, and the skid plate is new as well. But the rear windscreen and spoiler seem to be the same.

Although interior image of this particular development mule is not available, one can expect the Korean brand to make some changes to the compact SUV’s cabin.

But do not expect the refreshed Venue to come with new powertrains. It should continue with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (120 PS and 172 Nm), 1.2-litre atmospheric petrol (83 PS and 114 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (100 PS and 240 Nm) engines.

The transmission options would stay the same in the car that should be launched here later this year. It will continue to rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite and the like.
