Upcoming Jawa Cruiser Spotted, Likely Based On Perak

It has the exhaust and suspension from the Jawa Forty Two and Classic

The spied Jawa cruiser had a well-padded saddle and comfortable ergonomics

Classic Legends seems to be developing a new cruiser to be sold under the Jawa brand and it has been spied in Pune.

Sporting retro styling, the bike has the now familiar parts seen on other Jawa-branded motorcycles as well.

Be it the teardrop-shaped fuel tank, circular bar-end mirrors, blacked exhausts, dual rear shocks, the motorcycle has it. But, it does come with a large seat that seems split and a large rear fender.

Its rear number plate is positioned much lower, like in the Perak, while a small tail light sits above it. The indicators are the same stuff used by other Jawas.

Classic Legends sold less than 2400 Jawa bikes last month

The spied Jawa cruiser also has crash bars and by the look of things, is likely the 2 seater version of the Perak. But, it has let go of the monoshock that the entry-level bobber has, in favour of twin rear shocks.

Looking at the image, one can see that the cruiser bike has comfortable ergonomics. The handlebar is wide and set high, while the seat height is low.

If it is indeed based on the Perak, then the cruiser bike will be powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled motor making 30.64 PS and 32.74 Nm of torque. The engine will be teamed to a 6-speed transmission and the bike should weigh close to 180 kg.

The upcoming Jawa cruiser could come with Bluetooth connectivity and be introduced in the market next year. However, only an official communication from the maker of Jawa bikes will put and end to speculations.
