Jeep Compass Facelift Bookings Commence, Launch In January 2021

It does not look entirely different, for the updates are subtle on the outside

Dealers of Jeep India have begun accepting bookings for the Compass facelift that was revealed late last month at the Guangzhou International Motor Show in China.

Expected to get launched on 23rd January 2021, the upgraded model sports subtle changes outside and a major design refresh inside.

New on the Jeep Compass facelift is the front grille and bumper, while the LED headlights have been restyled too. However, Jeep did not do much either to the sides of the car or the rear.

Similarly, the Trailhawk variant gets a black grille, model-specific decals on the bonnet, a new front bumper, alloy wheels and red tow hooks.

The 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has a revised interior sporting a new steering wheel, double-stitched leather inserts on the dash, a digital driver’s cluster, a 10.1-inch ‘floating’ touchscreen for the UConnect 5 infotainment system, along with features like wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Amazon Alexa, among others.

Engine options are expected to remain the same as the current model. So, a 1.4-litre Multiair petrol motor (160 HP and 250 Nm) and a 2.0-litre turbo diesel (170 HP and 350 Nm) will be available with the car and the transmission options will also be carried over.

Expect prices of the SUV to jump a bit along with the model refresh. At present, the Jeep Compass costs between Rs. 16.49 lakhs and Rs. 26.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
