Kawasaki Ninja 300 Reaches Dealerships

When MotorBeam reader Nitin Mane sent us a picture of the Kawasaki Ninja 300 (last picture in this post) standing outside Bajaj Auto’s pro-biking showroom, we quickly went there and snapped the motorcycle. Bajaj Auto will launch the Ninja 300 in India on the 10th of April, 2013. The event will take place in Pune and contrary to prior reports, there will be no KTM 390 Duke in sight. The Ninja 300 launch will focus entirely on the Kawasaki brand and what to look out for in the near future from the Japanese company.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 pictured here was snapped at a service centre, where it had come for washing. The motorcycle is on display in some of the showrooms and bookings are now open for Rs. 40,000/-, with a waiting period of less than two months. There will be two colours on offer, the white (pictured here) and the flagship green which is Kawasaki’s signature colour. As we mentioned earlier, the Ninja 300 will be priced around Rs. 4.2 lakhs (on-road, Mumbai) and is brought down via the CKD route.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is powered by a 300cc, parallel-twin motor which produces 39 BHP of power and 27 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The Ninja 300 has top level of fit and finish with looks which are very sporty and attractive. Other intresting aspects of this machine include dual throttle valves and peak power being produced at 11,000 RPM. Kawasaki will not offer ABS on the Indian spec Ninja 300, which is dissapointing as the Duke 390 will be offered with this safety feature.
