Kia EV9 Spotted Testing In India For The First Time

Kia EV9 is a three row electric SUV

Kia’s much anticipated flagship electric SUV, the EV9, is making its debut in India soon. The upcoming EV has been spotted for the first time on Indian roads without any camouflage, which means the launch is imminent.

Built on the E-GMP platform, the Kia EV9 boasts three distinct powertrain options to cater to varying preferences and driving needs. The entry-level RWD variant is equipped with a single 215 BHP motor coupled with a 76.1 kWh battery, delivering a range of 358 km. For those seeking an extended range, the long-range variant offers a larger 99.8 kWh battery, providing 541 km of range. Additionally, customers have the option to opt for the dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 380 BHP for enhanced performance.

The exterior design of the EV9 features a sleek front fascia with a distinctive blanked-off grille and vertical LED headlamps complemented by integrated LED daytime running lights. The rear showcases similar attention to detail with sleek LED tail lights and flush-fitting door handles. It also features squared-off wheel arches with 21-inch wheels which makes it look rugged. Compared to the EV6, the EV9 has a more commanding presence with an upright stance.

The interior of the EV9 gets a premium looking dashboard with multiple choices of colour schemes. It gets a dual screen setup for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. There is a 4-spoke steering wheel on offer, which looks quite fancy. There are three rows of seats to accommodate the whole family.
