Kia Seltos petrol CVT variants recalled

Kia Motors has recently announced a voluntary recall affecting 4358 units of the Kia Seltos. The recall comes as a result of a potential issue with the electronic oil pump controller in the car’s CVT gearbox, which could impact the performance of the electronic oil pump. The affected models were manufactured between 28th February and 13th July 13, 2023.

In response to the situation, Kia is taking measures to reach out to customers and replace the faulty part in the affected vehicles. If you have not been contacted by the carmaker then visit the nearest dealership and get your vehicle checked.

The affected IVT variants come with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 HP. Additionally, the Kia Seltos is available with a choice of a 116 HP, 1.5-litre diesel engine or a 160 HP, 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine.

The Kia Seltos competes with a range of cars including Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and the likes.
