Kia Sonet HTE

Base variant of the compact SUV is called the HTE and this variant will get a 1.2-litre petrol with a 5-speed MT and a 1.5-litre diesel with 6-speed MT. The diesel engine will be offered in the lower 100 HP tune. Below are the features offered on the HTE variant –

Kia Sonet HTK

Next up is the HTK variant of the compact SUV that builds upon the base HTE variant. Engine options remain the same, with the same lower state of tune on the diesel variant. The features offered in this variant are –

Kia Sonet HTK+

Over and above the features offered on the HTK variant, the HTK+ gets more features. Engine options on this variant are – 1.2-litre petrol with 5-speed MT, 1.0-litre turbo petrol with iMT or 7-speed DCT and a 1.5-litre diesel (100 HP tune) with 6-speed MT or (115 HP tune) 6-speed AT. Several exterior and interior upgrades have done to the HTX variant. Engine options include the 1.0-litre turbo petrol with iMT and the 1.5-litre diesel (100 HP) with 6-speed MT. The additional features it gets over the previous variant are listed below –

Building upon the HTX variant, the HTX plus has the same engine and gearbox options and the features offered are –

With so many variants, features, engines and gearbox combinations offered on the Sonet, Kia would be able to offer something for all types of customers. The car’s launch is nearing and by the looks of it, it will go on to become a massive hit provided it is priced competitively. The Kia Sonet will give competition to the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport.
