Kia Undertakes Brand Relaunch, To Launch Updated Seltos & Sonet In May

Kia’s new brand logo and slogan

Kia has announced that the launch of the updated 2021 Seltos and Sonet will happen in the first week of May 2021.

The carmaker revealed this while announcing the relaunch of its brand in India with a focus on becoming a provider of eco-friendly mobility solutions. To this end, the firm has renamed its Indian arm as Kia India, dropping “Motors” from its name.

After Kia’s home country, India is the second nation in which the brand relaunch has been observed with the introduction of the company’s refashioned logo and brand slogan that now reads “Movement that inspires”.

According to Kia, the new slogan, in the Indian context, represents its ambitious plans for leading the future mobility revolution in the country with premium products that have unique design, segment-first features and advanced digitised services.

During the brand showcase, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kia India, Kookhyun Shim unveiled the refreshed Seltos with the new Kia logo. The updated 2021 Kia Seltos launch will take place alongside that of the Sonet in the first week of May.

What’s more, apart from the 2021 Kia Seltos launch and Sonet launch, the firm is also looking at adding new connected car features in its products, launching new products at regular intervals (like the new 7-seater that is coming in early 2022), refreshing existing products, while also strengthening its reach to 360 touch points across 218 cities by the end of this year.

Moreover, Kia also intends to attain full capacity utilisation of its Anantapur facility located in Andhra Pradesh to facilitate faster production and delivery of its vehicles.

Kookhyun Shim said Kia’s decision to increase the production capacity “stems from our deep customer understanding where a faster delivery of our products can enhance their buying experience tremendously”.

He added that Kia is confident that this transformation will accelerate its growth by strengthening its premium positioning in the market and also making it “one of the most aspirational brands for consumers”.
