Kinetic DX EV Launched, Available As DX & DX & DX+
The new Kinetic DX EV scooter is finally here with the help of Kinetic Engineering Ltd. Kinetic Watts and Volts Ltd. is responsible for launching the scooter. Designed with Italian collaboration, it combines the original Kinetic Honda DX styling with modern electric mobility features.
Styling
The higher-spec DX+ is offered in five colours: red, blue, white, silver, and black. The standard DX is available in silver and black. Kinetic designs both models for everyday family use with modern capabilities.
The scooter retains a strong metal body and a large, flat floorboard, true to the DX’s family-friendly spirit. The under-seat storage offers 37 litres, leading the class, and highly functional. It fits one full-face helmet, a half helmet, and additional essentials with ease.
Battery Range
The scooter uses a 2.6 kWh LFP battery made by Range-X, ensuring excellent durability and safety. It offers 2,500 to 3,500+ charging cycles, outperforming typical NMC batteries. The system supports a 60V architecture and achieves an IDC range of 116 km.
Battery Performance
Its motor can reach speeds of up to 90 Km/hr and supports three modes: Range, Power, and Turbo. Kinetic’s K-Coast regenerative technology boosts efficiency for longer rides. Together, these features offer both performance and economy for varied riding needs.
Suspension & Braking
The suspension comprises of telescopic front forks and adjustable rear shock absorbers. The scooter addresses safety with 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brakes. Both variants include reverse assist and hill-hold for added rider support.
Features
The Kinetic DX EV offers segment-first features aimed at convenience and usability. It includes Easy Key for keyless access, Easy Flip pillion rest, and Easy Charge retractable cable on DX+. These features ensure hassle-free use and make the DX EV a practical everyday vehicle.
The DX+ model includes telekinetic features via a dedicated app, offering geo-fencing, tracking, and real-time vehicle data. My Kiney Companion Voice Alerts greet users, issue safety messages, and even offer birthday wishes. Bluetooth features include music playback and voice navigation through an integrated speaker.
Pricing
A special Kinetic Assist button connects users instantly to customer service using Bluetooth. This ensures smooth ownership and peace of mind. Users can access updates and functions via a user-friendly mobile app. Deliveries start in September 2025, with only 35,000 units available for booking. Kinetic Engineering Ltd. prices the DX at Rs. 1.11 Lakh (ex-showroom), and the DX+ at Rs. 1.17 Lakh (ex-showroom). Potential buyers can book the Kinetic by paying Rs. 1,000 on the website.
Market Competition
It is important to mention that Kinetic has made the platform of the DX and DX+, with potential for a larger range of products. The electric scooter would compete with the Ather Rizta, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, VIDA V1 Pro and Bajaj Chetak. It remains to be seen whether the electric scooter is able to establish itself in a competitive space.
