KTM 160 Duke Teased Officially

KTM Duke 160 Teased Officially, Will Be Positioned Below The 200 Duke

KTM has officially teased its new entry-level streetfighter motorcycle for the Indian market, the upcoming 160 Duke. It will sit below the 200 Duke in KTM’s lineup. The 160 Duke targets a wider audience with its budget-friendly appeal.

Engine

It is likely that the bike will feature a new 160cc liquid-cooled engine based on the existing 200 Duke platform. KTM has not released official specifications yet. However, performance is expected to rival other segment leaders like the Yamaha MT-15.

The teaser image suggests that KTM will use the second-generation 200 Duke’s chassis for the 160 Duke. This move helps meet cost targets. The third-generation platform would have been too expensive for the 160cc class.

Design

In terms of design, the 160 Duke will resemble the appearance of the second-generation 200 Duke. It will sport new graphics and colours. This visual update adds freshness while keeping development costs low.

KTM specifically designs the 160 Duke for the Indian market, and not internationally. KTM is focusing on local demand. This strategy of focusing only on India helps KTM control costs and enhance affordability.

Expected Pricing

KTM aims to attract first-time buyers seeking a sporty yet affordable motorcycle with the 160 Duke. It blends style with performance. The expected ex-showroom price of around Rs. 1.85 Lakh (ex-showroom).

The KTM 160 Duke shall launch in India by late August 2025. The motorcycle arrives just before the festive season. This timing could boost its early sales significantly.
