KTM raises 390 Adventure prices following increased GST on large motorcycles

KTM has revised prices for its 390 Adventure lineup, increasing the cost of both variants several months after the GST rate on larger-capacity motorcycles was raised. The 390 Adventure now carries a sticker price of Rs. 3.95 lakhs, while the more affordable 390 Adventure X is priced at Rs. 3.26 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The hikes amount to Rs. 27,000 for the standard model and Rs. 22,410 for the X variant.

The adjustments follow the government’s decision to increase the GST on bikes above 350cc from 31 percent to 40 percent. KTM initially chose to absorb the additional tax burden when the revised rates came into effect, opting not to raise prices immediately. The new increase appears to be a delayed response to the higher taxation.

Both versions of the 390 Adventure were refreshed earlier this year, with the Adventure X positioned as a more accessible entry into the adventure motorcycle segment. Despite its lower price point, it has been well received for offering strong equipment levels.

In July, KTM enhanced the Adventure X further by adding features typically reserved for higher-end models. These include cruise control, cornering traction control, cornering ABS, and three riding modes – Street, Rain and Off-road – significantly boosting its value proposition within the segment.
